A Goal is only a GOAL if it’s in Writing

Writing down goals quarterly.

12/13/2018 | Sam Kabert, Success with Swag(ger)

A Harvard Business Study found that 3% of graduates from their MBA program who had their goals written down, ended up earning ten times as much as the other 97% put together, just ten years after graduation.

Goal-Setting is always a trending topic, but especially this time of year. I find myself usually setting new goals in October and November for the following year. However, last year I tried something new. I tried the quarterly goal system. Basically, instead of setting year-long goals only; I focused on setting quarterly goals and establishing new goals each quarter of the year.

SO, how’d it work out?!

Well, I’ve already had my best year ever in terms of sales. I successfully launched my first video series without having any background in video. I took my podcasting game to the next level while also professionally consulting others to start their own podcasts. I can see the finish line of my company rebrand. AND one of the things I’m most proud of is publishing my first book earlier in the year back in May. I have news though… I didn’t just publish one book this year… I published a second book in early December of 2018!

“The Written Goal” - a book by SwagSam

My latest book is entitled, “The Written Goal”. The book is about exactly what you think it’s about… writing down your goals.

However, it’s not just a bunch of fluff. If you’ve been following my work at all then you know that I love worksheets and action plans! This book is about how to create the mindset of writing down your goals and reading them daily to accomplish your top goals.

“Think & Grow Rich”

My favorite book I’ve ever read is “Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. In his book, he described the power of burning desire and the importance of a success-conscious mindset. Hill provides the ideas for you to be inspired and create your own goals. The only thing missing from his book is a clear action plan. In “The Written Goal” you can think of it as “Think & Grow Rich 2.0” as I take his concepts to the next level with tools by providing you with worksheets to stay focused on your mission to achieve your top goals.

If you’re ready to be inspired, take action, and achieve your goals then this book came just in time to treat yourself as you plan for 2019! It’s a great stocking stuffer too! ;)

You’re reading this blog post likely because you’re already in my network. Feel free to reach out to me anytime (sam@valuebp.com) and I’d be happy to chat one on one with you about your burning desire and how we can help you accomplish that goal in 2019!
