It's Time

PromoCorner's rebranding to be unveiled in coming weeks and months.

8/28/2017 | Bill Petrie, Petrie's Perspective

PromoCorner has been the leader in digital marketing services for the promotional products industry since its inception in 1999 – and almost 20 years – which is a source of pride for the entire team. While 1999 may not feel like a distant memory, consider the following that were the norm just 18 years ago:

• Saving computer files on a floppy disk

• Waiting for dial-up internet

• Paying bills by mail

• Listening to music on a Sony Walkman/Discman

• Owning an answering machine to record messages

• Paying $1.22 for a gallon of gas

• Worrying about Y2K

• Renting movies at Blockbuster – and rewinding those VHS tapes after the show to avoid late fees

18 years is a long time, especially when considering how daily life is completely different. Even the world of promotional products has changed dramatically since then. I mean, when was the last time you asked for or accepted camera-ready art?

Our business – and audience – has evolved and, to stay relevant, we must evolve with it.

As a business services provider, PromoCorner is no different and we have decided that it’s time for us to evolve.

Many people look at rebranding as a simple logo redesign and hope that adding an updated color here or a fresh tagline there will breathe new life into their marketing efforts which, ideally, will lead to more conversions or sales. The idea that rebranding only involves a change in logo is far too naïve in a sophisticated marketplace. A logo is only the symbol that represents the bigger picture of your brand: messaging, beliefs, voice, and the tone of communication.

Rebranding is truly an art form unlike any other as it’s an opportunity to reshape a narrative to a continually shifting demographic – and we are excited to share our new narrative with you. For PromoCorner, this narrative goes beyond updating our logo and website, although that is a big part of it and, certainly, the most outwardly visible components. Over the next few months, we will also be developing and sharing new content, expanding our offerings to both distributors and suppliers, and creating a much more user-friendly experience for all. In short, we are thrilled to share our rebranding with you beginning next week.
