Call me an outlier, but I’ve always found Monday’s to be exciting. Maybe it’s the promise of the freshness a new workweek brings or the fact that I don’t have to conduct another session at home about the importance of sharing a vehicle with my 16-year-old twin boys, but I always look forward to Monday. Today, however, is just a bit more exciting than normal as I’m finally able to share something that I – along with quite a few others – have been working on for well over a year.
Today, I get to introduce PromoMBA.
In short, PromoMBA is a collaboration between PromoCorner and our friends at Promo Marketing to create the preeminent distributor one-day workshop designed to inspire, inform, and innovate. While you can read the entire press release here, I thought I’d use this space to answer a few questions:
What makes PromoMBA different than other education in the industry?
To be clear, there is a TON of great education in the industry with organizations like PPAI, ASI, and commonsku continually creating knowledge-based opportunities for distributors. However, when looking at the landscape of the education available, we felt there was a large group of underserved distributors: the everyman/woman. These are the distributors who desperately want to get to the seemingly mythical "next level." That could be a professional who has seen their sales plateau at $435,000 and wants to finally crack a half million or someone who has been steadily growing towards $1MM in sales and just cant seem to get over the hump or anyone looking to jump start their promotional products sales. In short, PromoMBA is designed for the business people who have seen their revenue stagnate and want to push forward and see their sales (and profits) grow again and any professional seeking to focus their efforts in proven, tangible ways to scale their businesses. The key takeaway is that the entire PromoMBA program has been built solely with distributor growth in mind.
What is the format of a PromoMBA event?
Our approach is to eschew the usual keynote-style composition in favor of a workshop-based environment where each hands-on session builds upon the previous one.
Okay, it’s “workshop-based.” What does that even mean?
Great question, so glad you asked. We want attendees to be active partners in the PromoMBA process rather than a passive participant. As such, each PromoMBA attendee will receive a workbook at the beginning of the event that will not only guide them through the key learnings of the day but serve as a reference guide for long after the conclusion of the event.
Why partner with Promo Marketing on PromoMBA? Aren’t you guys competitors?
With the Power Meetings, Promo Marketing has a long track record of producing best-in-class events designed to encourage collaboration between suppliers and distributors. They understand all the minute details that need to be addressed to create a wildly successful event. In PromoCorner, Promo Marketing recognized a partner that both fully understands the type of education that distributors have been seeking for quite some time and access to the thought leaders to teach it.
So, while we are competitors in a few areas – email marketing being the most obvious – there are far more areas where we complement each other and putting on a distributor-focused education event is one of them.
Why should I consider attending?
If you can answer “yes” to any of following questions, this event is for you:
- Are you a promotional products distributor looking to get over a sales plateau?
- Are you looking to network with like-minded professionals in a safe, collaborative environment?
- Are you ready to come to a day-long workshop ready to learn and actually apply those learnings in your business?
- Are you ready to be inspired by respected sales, marketing, branding, and promotional thought leaders?
- Are you aspiring to attend an immersive and interactive day that will catapult your business forward?
- Are you seeking to increase your profits over the next year?
- Are you ready to intentional about building your business?
- Are you already scheduled to attend the Promo Marketing Power Meeting in San Diego?
Bottom line, if you are a distributor looking to invest in yourself in a hands-on environment to achieve your revenue and profitability goals in the next 12 months, this event is a must for you.
Uh oh, you said, “invest in yourself” – does this mean it will cost me real dollars?
Yes, that’s why it’s called an investment. The cost is nominal ($395.00) for what you will receive: a full day of workshops fashioned with YOU in mind with tactical, actionable, and measurable actions taught by some of the most respected people in the promotional products industry, including Kirby Hasseman and Paul Kiewiet. This really is a one of a kind event that will catapult you and your business forward.
Okay, I’m intrigued – what are the details and how can I get additional information?
The first PromoMBA event will be held in conjunction with the Promo Marketing Power Meeting in San Diego, CA:
Monday, September 16, 2019
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
1441 Quivira Road
San Diego, CA 92109
Full details of the event – including a link to registration – are located on the PromoMBA website. Of course, you can email info@promomba.com if you have any additional questions.
I sincerely hope you find the launch of the inaugural PromoMBA event as exciting as I do. If you’re interested but can’t get to San Diego, don’t fret – we are already planning several events for 2020 in different locations across the country!
Learning isn’t a one-time event; it’s truly a lifelong journey. It’s the goal of PromoMBA to work collaboratively with each attendee to create a tactical roadmap that will serve as a 12-month guide to build your sales, grow your profits, and execute your vision. I hope you join us.
Indeed, this is a VERY exciting Monday.
