SNUGZ IS A PROUD PARTNER
of the Wounded Warrior Project®. In 2012, the Basecamp brand was conceived. It started with 2 backpacks and has expanded to fulfill their love for adventure. Today, 1% of SnugZ Basecamp sales (with a minimum of $100,000 per calendar year) goes to support the Wounded Warrior Project® and honor and empower wounded warriors.
In 2015, Dan Nevins, a 15-year Army veteran who has made his professional life post-combat as a public speaker, yoga teacher, retreat leader, and creator of Warrior Spirit Retreat connected and spoke at a national sales meeting for then Sweda. His speech was extremely memorable, motivating, captivating, and emotional and kickstarted a partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project that is still as strong as ever today.

Before Basecamp, Dan’s first experience with a promotional product was with a backpack he received in 2004 after an IED explosion in Iraq resulted in the amputation of both of his legs. While at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he was visited by a representative from Wounded Warrior Project®. In that first meeting, WWP gave him a backpack, and to this day, Dan says the impact of that backpack changed his whole life, and it was the most significant gift he had ever received or ever will receive, and part of that impact is behind Basecamp’s partnership with Wounded Warrior Project®.
