Standard Register Files Objection to WorkflowOne Suit
Unsecured creditors last month filed a lawsuit against Standard Register's 2013 purchase of WorkflowOne seeking to set aside liens incurred during the acquisition, and this week Standard Register President and CEO Joe Morgan Jr. filed an objection to the suit.
The suit, which also names Morgan Jr., former CFO Bob Ginnan and six board members, asserts that Morgan and Ginnan had significant personal interest in buying WorkflowOne, as it more than doubled their total compensation.
"I believed then, as I continue to believe to this day, that the WorkflowOne acquisition was the right move and a good deal for the company and its stockholders," Morgan said, in the filing.
