Customer Focus Issued U.S. Patent
Customer Focus Interactive Imaging (previously known as Technologo and Trade Only) announced it has been issued with a U.S. patent covering claims related to the creation and placement of artwork onto online images and subsequent web and print-ready output.
In addition, the patent covers technology designed to assist suppliers with reducing inventory levels through the use of historical data to predict future order likelihood. The core technology protected by the patent is used in the Artworktool.com and Technologo solutions, and allows users to launch a customizable blank canvas or artwork template of the correct size, using print area data on a website, or from user inputted dimensions.
Users can create print-ready artwork for any purpose and to any size, change fonts, and add layers and text effects. In addition, through seamless integration with Fotolia, users can add stock images from a choice of over 30 million, or connect Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts to use existing images and content in new artwork creations.
Designs can be outputted directly to a web page to provide a preview of a personalized item, exported to be used for web graphics, added to Google Drive or DropBox, integrated into existing ERP workflows, or shared amongst friends on social media networks.
Martin Varley, global commercial director, said, "The grant of the U.S. patent is the culmination of three years of work and investment in this innovative solution allowing any website publisher to fully integrate HTML5 artwork creation ability into their site.
"With wide ranging applications for website and email marketing publishers, print, sign, and personalized gift companies, as well as students worldwide that need to create content, Artworktool brings design and artwork creation to everyone online."
Deborah Wilkinson, managing director of Customer Focus Interactive Imaging, added, "An estimated 62% of print, sign and promotional product orders aren't factory ready, so this solution presents an instant solution to one of the major inefficiencies in the supply chain.
"For the first time, artwork can be uploaded, edited and even created online by an end user or distributor, instantly viewed as a virtual sample with the correct print method, and then a print ready file appended to the order."Gold Bond Worldwide Participates in AmazonSmile
