Text Version:
Hey everyone this is Kirby Hasseman with the Monday Minute.
We live in a world where it seems so easy to argue. We argue about everything from politics to medicine to colors. It doesn’t matter the topic…we love to argue about it. And in social media, it seems like those arguments have become more personal. We are not looking directly at the person, so we can more comfortably say something hateful. Let’s face it…it can get out of control.
Whenever I find myself on the precipice of an argument, I
ask myself a very important question: "What do I win by winning?"
So often, we can spend a lot of energy and time proving
you are right, only to realize all you have won is a
broken relationship.
So the next time you are so sure that you are "right,” make sure
being right really matters. Ask yourself “what do I win by winning?”
You might win bigger by avoiding the argument in the first place.
Thanks so much for watching the Monday Minute.
