ASI: Distributor Sales Up
The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) reported that distributor sales were up 3.5% in the first quarter of 2015, the 21st straight quarterly rise, according to ASI.
Gildan Reports Strong Quarter
Driven by printwear and branded apparel sales, Gildan Activewear reported a net sales increase of 15.9 percent over the same period a year ago for the fiscal quarter ending April 5, 2015. Sales for the quarter were $636.2 million.
"This reflects a sales increase of approximately 14 percent in printwear sales and around 20 percent in branded apparel, both up from a year ago periods," the company said.
